EquiLead to Host Gender & Climate Equity Event in Delhi

EquiLead is set to host its flagship event, Lead with Equity, on July 29, 2025, in New Delhi. This convening will assemble leading voices from philanthropy, policy, and social enterprise to deliberate on a pressing question: What must change to embed gender equity into India's climate and development strategies, financial planning, and governance structures?
Now in its third edition, Lead with Equity has become a pivotal platform for stakeholders seeking to move beyond symbolic representation and foster systems where inclusion is central to both accountability and leadership. The 2025 edition emphasizes organizational transformation toward genuine gender justice. Key themes include equity in climate resilience, inclusive leadership within manufacturing, structured mentorship for women in impact-driven roles, and the deeper structural shifts required to redistribute power.
Featured speakers include Anuradha Das Mathur (Vedica Scholars), Meera Shenoy (Youth4Jobs), Dr. Nisha Dhawan (EMpower), Dr. Nidhi Pundhir (HCL Foundation), Sahil Tandon (Foundation CHANEL), Maithilee Shirgaonkar-Jamsandekar (Raintree Foundation), Moutushi Sengupta (Oneworld Colab), and Dr. Seema Bhatia Panthaki (AVPN). Attendees will engage in strategic roundtables, peer-led keynotes, and sector-specific dialogues aimed at identifying replicable models for equity-driven development.
Commenting on the initiative, EquiLead co-founder Anchal Kakkar stated, “Equity can’t be reduced to workshop checklists or representation goals. It has to affect how plans are made, how money is spent, and whose information is used to make climate and development programs. Lead with Equity is not a place to reach an agreement; it is a place to rethink what good leadership looks like in this decade.”
This event builds on the momentum of earlier editions like She the Change 2023, which catalyzed workplace policy reforms in over 15 organizations. The 2024 edition drew participation from more than 350 ecosystem stakeholders.
