EDANA Releases 2026 Global Calendar for Nonwovens Training and Industry Events

EDANA, the international association representing the nonwovens and related industries, has published its full programme of professional development activities and major industry events for 2026. The calendar is anchored by INDEX™26, the world’s largest dedicated nonwovens exhibition, alongside a series of conferences and technical training courses focused on innovation, sustainability and workforce development.
INDEX™26 will take place from 19 to 22 May in Geneva, Switzerland, at Palexpo. As the sector’s flagship triennial exhibition, the event will bring together the complete nonwovens value chain to present new technologies and foster business networking among more than 12,000 industry professionals. Applications for the INDEX™26 Awards, which recognise achievements across the nonwovens and related industries, remain open until 30 January 2026.
EDANA’s conference programme will continue with IMPERVIUS™ on 10–11 June in Italy, a two-day forum dedicated to the waterproofing bituminous membranes sector. The event will address market developments, regulatory and technical issues, and environmental topics including circular economy practices across the supply chain.
OUTLOOK™ 2026 is scheduled for 22–24 September in Cascais, Portugal, and will examine market trends, sustainability initiatives, innovation pathways and regulatory developments in product segments such as diapers, wet wipes, femcare and incontinence. The programme will also include keynote sessions focused on broader global trends shaping the industry.
FILTREX™ India will be held on 7–8 October in New Delhi, offering a technical platform for the filtration sector. The event will explore topics ranging from air pollution control and mobility challenges to evolving standards, testing requirements and manufacturing technologies across the filtration value chain.
The year will conclude with the Sustainability & Policy Forum on 8–9 December in Brussels. This summit will integrate policy perspectives into sustainability discussions, covering areas such as circular economy frameworks, green claims, reporting requirements and corporate due diligence obligations, while providing opportunities for industry dialogue and knowledge exchange.
In parallel with its physical events, EDANA will expand its learning portfolio through the introduction of e-learning modules. Developed jointly with INDA under the Global Nonwovens Alliance (GNA), the digital programme is designed to provide flexible, accessible training options for professionals who are unable to attend in-person courses. The online format supports scalable corporate training and offers trackable performance metrics for organisations.
EDANA’s professional development programme for 2026 includes a range of introductory, intermediate and advanced courses. These cover subjects such as nonwovens fundamentals, sustainability, carding technology, spunbond and meltblown processes, and absorbent hygiene products. Courses will be delivered through a combination of online and classroom-based sessions in locations including Brussels and CETI in France.
With its integrated schedule of exhibitions, conferences and training programmes, EDANA’s 2026 calendar reflects the association’s focus on supporting technical expertise, sustainable practices and international collaboration across the nonwovens industry.
