EDANA, INDA Urge Cooperation on Global Trade Policies

EDANA and INDA, representing the global nonwovens industry, have jointly voiced concern over rising global trade tensions that could harm the sector. Both organizations stress that countermeasures and reciprocal tariffs may disrupt global operations and economies, particularly in Europe and the U.S., where many industry players operate.

The associations advocate for constructive dialogue over retaliatory actions, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation to safeguard the industry and ensure economic stability. “While addressing unfair practices is necessary, we urge all regions to focus on negotiations and cooperative resolutions,” said Murat Dogru, EDANA’s General Manager. He warned that increasing tariffs threaten supply chains and create uncertainty for businesses and consumers alike.

INDA’s President & CEO Tony Fragnito added, “Our industry champions fair trade and urges decision-makers to evaluate the broader effects of tariffs and prioritize policies that encourage collaboration.”
