Each NIFT Graduate Is Trained to Create Jobs for the Next Generation: Giriraj Singh

NIFT Daman convocation honours MFM and Textile Design graduates as they prepare to enter India’s fashion and textile industry
The convocation ceremony of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Daman, for the Master of Fashion Management (MFM) Batch 2024-26 and Bachelor of Textile Design (B. Des. – TD) Batch 2022-26 was held in New Delhi.
The ceremony was attended by the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, as the Chief Guest. Merit awards and degree certificates were presented to the graduating students by Union Minister for Textiles Shri Giriraj Singh.
Giriraj Singh Highlights Entrepreneurship
Addressing the graduates, Union Minister Shri Giriraj Singh said, "Each graduating student at NIFT is trained during their academic journey not just to seek jobs, but to create jobs for the upcoming generation as potential entrepreneurs."
He also highlighted NIFT’s role in supporting India’s ambitions to become a global hub for textile innovation, design and entrepreneurship under the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
The Graduation Pledge was administered to the students by Ms. Tanu Kashyap, IAS, Director General, NIFT.
Dr. Khushal Jangid, Director, NIFT Daman Campus, attended the ceremony along with faculty members, parents and graduating students from across NIFT campuses.
The convocation marked the completion of academic programmes for the graduating batches and their transition towards professional careers in the fashion and textile sector.
