Durak Tekstil Transforms China Operations into Strategic Trade Hub

Durak Tekstil Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., which has maintained operations in the People’s Republic of China since 2007, has long managed both raw material supply to Türkiye and product distribution to global brand manufacturers in China and the Far East through its local factory and experienced team.
After two years of strategic transition, Durak Tekstil successfully restructured its operations in China to focus on Supply – New Business Development – Direct Sales from Türkiye to China. Beginning in early 2025, the company relocated its production for Chinese and Far Eastern clients from its China facility back to Türkiye. This strategic move, which convinced long-standing Chinese partners to source directly from Türkiye, further validated the global strength of the DURAK brand.
Key Advantages of the New Structure:
- Consistent Monthly Exports: Durak Tekstil now exports monthly to its Durak China hub, ensuring timely and uninterrupted order and shipment fulfillment for approximately 500 Chinese and Far Eastern manufacturing clients. The company has maintained smooth stock supply operations for six months, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Cost Efficiency Through Centralized Production: By unifying all production activities in Türkiye, Durak Group achieved significant cost savings.
- New Trade Business Model: The Durak Tekstil company in China has been converted into a trading entity. Leveraging its reputation and market strength, it has entered a new trade model that facilitates buying and selling across China, Türkiye, and other countries—even in sectors beyond its core business—effective from the start of 2025.
- Capacity Expansion and Investment in Türkiye: Durak Tekstil sold its real estate in China, relocated its machinery to Türkiye with support from the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye, and expanded production capacity by 30%. The total direct investment, including the machinery’s value, reached approximately USD 20 million. Alongside its current facility in Vakıfköy, Bursa, the company plans to invest in a new plant on its land in the TOSAB Industrial Zone, using proceeds from the real estate sale.
