Dornbirn GFC 2026 to Mark 65th Anniversary with Expanded Conference Programme

International fibre conference to bring together more than 600 experts from over 30 countries in Dornbirn, Austria

Dornbirn GFC will celebrate its 65th anniversary when the international fibre industry gathers in Dornbirn, Austria, from September 16 to 18, 2026. The conference will bring together more than 600 experts from industry and academia representing over 30 countries to discuss developments, technologies and future directions for the global fibre industry.

The event will feature around 100 presentations, a 2.5-day conference programme, and three parallel presentation rooms with moderated sessions focused on knowledge exchange, networking and international collaboration.

Expanded programme for the 65th anniversary

To mark its 65th anniversary, Dornbirn GFC has expanded its established conference programme with additional presentation sessions covering:

  • Cross-Industry Innovation – “Fiber & Textiles Meet Pulp & Paper”
  • Natural Fibers: Innovative Materials Combining Sustainability and High Performance
  • ReHubs: Industry Partners in Dialogue on the Future of Textile Circularity

The conference is designed to provide a platform for discussions between industry and academia on current trends, technological developments and future-oriented solutions in the fibre sector.
