Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Amritsar, is a premier post-graduate institution affiliated with Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. It was established in 1999 to commemorate the tri-centenary celebration of Khalsa Panth with a few departments and a handful of students on the eve of the tri-centenary of Khalsa Panth. The objective of the institution was to impart state-of-the-art education to the poor and weaker sections of society. Since its inception, the institution has been deeply committed to the propagation of patriotism, nationalism, and secularism. The college has a significant presence in the field of research, with a number of major and minor research projects awarded to the faculty members by the UGC and other bodies.
