GLS University, established with the aim of providing an ideal and creative learning environment, carries forward the tradition of educational excellence set by its sponsoring body, the Gujarat Law Society (GLS).
Founded in 1927, the Gujarat Law Society is among the oldest and largest educational institutions in Gujarat. Its inception was propelled by visionaries like Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Shri Ganesh Mavlankar (the first Speaker of India), and Shri I.M. Nanavati, with the overarching vision of achieving excellence in education.
Since its establishment, GLS has played a pioneering role by offering programs across various disciplines such as Business Management, Computer Technology, Commerce, Business Administration, Education, Law, and Humanities. These programs have garnered high preference and acceptance among students and the corporate community alike.
Currently, GLS boasts a student population of over 25,000 pursuing graduate, postgraduate, and doctoral studies across the university and its constituent colleges/institutions. With a rich legacy, GLS has produced over one million alumni who have made significant contributions in diverse fields such as business, commerce, law, science, arts, and culture. Many of these alumni are distinguished entrepreneurs.
