Crystal International Partners with Schneider Electric to Expand Renewable Energy and Improve Energy Efficiency

Collaboration focuses on rooftop solar deployment, energy-efficient cooling systems and progress toward Net Zero 2050 goals

Crystal International Group Limited ("Crystal International" or the "Group") has announced a partnership with Schneider Electric's global consulting practice, SE Advisory Services, to strengthen renewable energy adoption and improve energy efficiency across its global manufacturing operations.

The collaboration is centred on expanding rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) installations and enhancing air-conditioning (AC) energy performance as part of the Group's long-term sustainability strategy.

To support future solar deployment, Crystal International is working with SE Advisory Services to develop a data-driven solar roadmap that evaluates the installable solar PV capacity across its factories worldwide.

The assessment examines multiple environmental and technical factors, including available roof space, roof condition, structural integrity and suitable PV system configurations. The resulting roadmap is intended to support systematic expansion of clean energy infrastructure, building on the Group's existing 24.6 MW of installed rooftop solar PV capacity.

Alongside renewable energy development, the partnership also focuses on benchmarking the energy performance of air-conditioning systems to address increasing heat stress across manufacturing facilities.

The assessment enables the Group to identify energy-efficient cooling solutions suited to local factory conditions while supporting future AC upgrades and expansion projects. According to the company, optimised system design and equipment selection are expected to improve workplace comfort for employees while reducing energy consumption and associated carbon emissions.

Commenting on the collaboration, Catherine Chiu, Vice President – Corporate Quality & Sustainability at Crystal International, said:

"Joining hands with SE Advisory Services exemplifies our ongoing efforts in decarbonisation and our ambition to deliver sustainable, future-ready solutions. With their expertise, we are confident in our ability to effectively balance worker well-being with climate mitigation in achieving resilience."

Crystal International stated that collaboration with industry stakeholders remains an important element of its climate strategy. The company continues to work with partners to accelerate decarbonisation efforts and support the transition toward a lower-carbon fashion industry.
