Crystal International Group Limited has joined the Reimagining Industry to Support Equality programme to strengthen its focus on women empowerment. The move aligns with the company’s sustainability framework and ongoing initiatives across its global operations.

Crystal International Group Limited has become a member of the Reimagining Industry to Support Equality, also referred to as SERI in Vietnam, as part of its efforts to address gender-based violence and harassment and support women empowerment within garment supply chains. The initiative is aligned with the company’s Crystal Sustainability Vision 2030.

As part of its activities under the programme, the company implemented the SERI Respect programme at its intimate factory in Vietnam. In the first cohort, 190 Change Makers were trained in areas including gender relationships, violence and harassment, and communication skills. Following the pilot, the factory established an Anti-Sexual Harassment Committee, with members receiving further training to prevent, identify, and manage workplace harassment cases.

Women represent more than 70% of the global workforce, and the company has continued to expand its initiatives in this area. In addition to the RISE programme, Crystal International conducts training programmes in collaboration with customers and non-governmental organizations, along with providing development opportunities and wellness support for female employees across job levels. The company reports that more than 77,000 female employees have been engaged through these initiatives globally.

The company also implements structured development programmes tailored to the needs and priorities of female employees.

“Joining RISE membership signifies our momentum in scaling up impactful training across global operations. Going beyond, we envision that all our female employees could unleash full potential through diversified programmes while contributing to the equitable workplaces,” said Catherine Chiu, Vice President – Corporate Quality & Sustainability at Crystal International.

Participation in the programme reflects the company’s ongoing activities related to workplace practices and training initiatives across its supply chain.
