Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd. has secured a landmark ₹445 crore order to install rooftop solar systems across 40,000 homes in Andhra Pradesh — its biggest solar contract to date. This marks a major step in the company’s mission to promote renewable energy adoption nationwide.

Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd., a leading name in India’s home and energy solutions industry, has achieved a significant milestone by winning a landmark solar rooftop order worth ₹445 crore in Andhra Pradesh. The project will cover over 40,000 households with 2 KW on-grid rooftop systems, making it the largest solar order in Crompton’s growing renewable energy portfolio.

This major 77 MW project reflects Crompton’s rapid progress in the solar energy sector—secured just two months after its entry into the rooftop solar market. The achievement follows a ₹52 crore order earlier this month, showcasing the company’s growing market presence, strong execution capabilities, and accelerating momentum in sustainable energy solutions.

The solar rooftop segment in India represents a rapidly expanding market valued between ₹20,000 and ₹25,000 crore, growing at an annual rate of over 20%. The increasing affordability of technology, improved grid integration, and rising consumer awareness are driving residential adoption, positioning Crompton for long-term growth in this segment.
