Cosmo Speciality Chemicals Launches Advanced Masterbatches Portfolio

Cosmo Speciality Chemicals, a subsidiary of Cosmo First Limited, has introduced an expanded range of high-performance masterbatches as part of its Specialty Chemicals portfolio. Announced in New Delhi on 27th February 2026, the new product range includes solutions developed for polymer and flexible packaging applications. The portfolio includes two new product lines, CosmoWhite and CosmoAdd.

Cosmo Speciality Chemicals, a subsidiary of Cosmo First Limited, has announced the launch of an expanded portfolio of masterbatches designed for polymer processing and packaging applications.

The new portfolio includes CosmoWhite, a range of white masterbatches developed for polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE). The products contain high concentrations of Titanium Dioxide (TiO₂) and are designed to provide opacity, brightness, UV protection and thermal stability. The masterbatches are intended for applications including BOPP films, blown films, extrusion coating, injection moulding, non-wovens, raffia and pail containers.

Alongside this range, Cosmo Speciality Chemicals has introduced CosmoAdd, a portfolio of additive masterbatches developed to support processing efficiency and product performance. The range is designed for flexible packaging applications in BOPP, CPP and blown film production.

The CosmoAdd portfolio includes cavitating agents (inorganic and organic), antiblock additives (inorganic and organic), antistatic and slip additives, polymer processing aids (standard and PFAS-free), antioxidants, clarifiers, matt compounds and specialised solutions for synthetic paper. The range is designed to address processing and performance requirements in packaging applications.

The development forms part of Cosmo First’s broader strategy to expand its Specialty Chemicals vertical alongside its specialty films business. The specialty chemicals division was established in FY21 and operates with research and development capabilities aimed at supporting product development and market expansion.

Cosmo Speciality Chemicals stated that the expanded masterbatch portfolio supports its activities in polymer and packaging materials through the development of application-specific formulations.
