Coats will present a range of reinforcement and filler materials for leather goods and accessories during APLF 2026. The exhibition will take place at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre from 12–14 March 2026.

Coats, a Tier 2 manufacturer supplying the apparel and footwear industries, will showcase four materials from its Lifestyle Solutions portfolio during APLF 2026 in Hong Kong. The event will be held at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre between 12–14 March 2026, where the company will present materials developed for use in handbags, purses and other designer accessories.

The materials will be displayed in Hall 1E, where the company will present products designed for reinforcement, structural stability and filler applications in leather goods manufacturing.

Among the materials being presented is Coats Aquiline, a filler material intended for the main body of leather bags. The product is available in multiple colours and contains a thermo adhesive designed to support complex designs or load-bearing components. The material incorporates Tex2Tex fibres, which convert textile waste into filler material.

Another product being presented is Coats Pyroflex, a hot-melt reinforcement material developed for handbag manufacturing. According to the company, the material provides tear resistance and dimensional stability with low weight and minimal stretch.

The portfolio also includes Coats RX V 5000, a thermo-adhesive reinforcement material produced using GRS-certified recycled wood and polymers. The product is designed to provide structural stability in handbag construction.

Coats Ultrasoft is another material featured at the exhibition. It is described as a high-density non-woven material used in handbag components where flexibility and resilience are required. The material is designed to provide elasticity and durability while helping components maintain shape.

All four products are part of the company’s Lifestyle Solutions range, which includes threads, reinforcement materials and fillers developed for the production of handbags and accessories.

Explaining more, Nicoletta Baratta, Global Sales Director of Lifestyle at Coats, said:

“In today’s dynamic fashion landscape, brands need materials that deliver exceptional performance and quality, while also supporting their environmental goals. Our commitment to sustainable innovation, evidenced by products like Aquiline, enables them to meet consumer expectations - without compromising design or functionality. Our presence at APLF reflects our long-standing partnership with key players in the fashion industry and our focus on creating cutting-edge materials that enable brands to bridge the gap between heritage, artisan, accessory production techniques and future-ready designs. We’re excited to show our latest innovations at APLF.”

APLF 2026 is recognised as an international exhibition focused on leather and material sourcing. The event brings together businesses involved in leather, fashion and manufacturing supply chains to explore materials, product developments and industry partnerships.

Visitors can meet the company at Booth B29 in Hall 1E during the exhibition to review the materials and discuss their applications in leather accessories manufacturing.
