CMAI Showcases Brands, Sustainability and Global Industry Collaboration at Bharat Tex 2026

Association facilitates 100+ exhibitors, launches Brands of India Pavilion and Eco-Stitch Sustainability & Circularity Impact Hub, while hosting global industry discussions at Bharat Tex 2026

The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI) is participating in Bharat Tex 2026 through multiple initiatives aimed at promoting India's apparel manufacturing ecosystem, sustainability efforts and international industry engagement. Bharat Tex is an initiative of the Bharat Tex Trade Federation (BTTF), supported by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.

At Bharat Tex 2026, CMAI has facilitated the participation of over 100 exhibitors across multiple halls representing Apparel, Textiles, Brands of India, and the Sustainability & Circularity Impact Hub.

A key attraction is the Brands of India Pavilion in Hall No. 4, featuring more than 70 Indian apparel brands. The pavilion also includes, for the first time, a dedicated showcase of Intimate & Innerwear brands from Mumbai and Delhi.

Speaking about CMAI's participation at Bharat Tex 2026, Santosh Katariya, President, Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI), said, "The Government's strong support for India's apparel sector continues to play a vital role in accelerating the industry's growth and its contribution to the nation's economic development. As one of India's largest employment-generating manufacturing sectors, apparel is central to the country's vision of becoming self-reliant and globally competitive. Eco-Stitch Sustainability & Circularity Impact Hub

In collaboration with the Global Alliance for Textile Sustainability (GATS), CMAI is also presenting the Eco-Stitch Sustainability & Circularity Impact Hub in Hall No. 14 under the theme "Sustainable, Circular and Competitive Bharat."

The pavilion showcases India's circular textile ecosystem through five thematic areas:

  • India Impact Wall
  • Circularity at Scale
  • From Waste to Global Wardrobe
  • Made in Circular Bharat
  • Material & Innovation Library
  • Circular Bharat Forum

Speaking about the Impact Hub, Naveen Sainani, Hon. Gen. Secretary & Chairman - ESG Committee, CMAI, expressed, "Global sourcing today demands sustainability, traceability and compliance. The CMAI-GATS Sustainability & Circularity Impact Hub is designed to showcase India's readiness to meet these expectations while connecting manufacturers, brands and buyers to build future-ready, responsible textile value chains. The Impact Hub reflects India's transition from being a cost competitive manufacturing base to becoming a future-ready sourcing partner. By bringing together sustainable products, technologies, and industry expertise, we aim to help manufacturers and buyers navigate evolving global compliance requirements while unlocking new growth opportunities."

Participating organisations include Grasim, GIZ, UNEP, UNIDO, Alliance for Textile Sustainability, Centre for Responsible Business (CRB), Conserve India, Fashion for Change (FMC), IDH, Green Stitch, Grant Thornton, H&M, Fashion for Good, Canopy, Otteri, Reput, Restart Alliance, Recore, Ramsons and several others.

Throughout the four-day event, the hub will host sustainability report releases, product launches, industry roundtables, investor and buyer connect sessions, technology demonstrations, case study presentations and MoU signings.

International Collaboration and Industry Sessions

CMAI will also host the Board Meeting of the International Apparel Federation (IAF), followed by a networking dinner.

In partnership with the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI), CMAI will organise the panel discussion "Brands of a Billion: The Great Indian Revolution," focusing on India's consumer market and brand ecosystem. Another session titled "Indian Brands Going Global" will also be held.

Industry participants include P. Venkatesalu, MD- Trent Ltd.; Neeraj Nagpal – CBO, Apparel & Retail, Raymond Lifestyle Ltd.; Amisha Jain - MD & CEO, Arvind Fashions Ltd; Siddharth Bindra – MD - BIBA Apparels; Rajesh Jain- - MD & CEO, Lacoste; Nikhil Upadhyay – MD, Benetton India; Gautam Saraogi - Founder & CEO, Go Colors; Rahul Mishra; and Gaurav Gupta.

Additionally, the International Apparel Federation (IAF), CMAI and Gherzi Consulting will jointly organise the Apparel Manufacturing Leadership Session, featuring Sanjay Jain – CEO, PDS Group; Edgar Tung – CEO, Tessellation Group; Mahmud Hasan Khan - President / MD, BGMEA / Rising Group; Stefano Festa Marzotto – President, IAF; Giuseppe Gherzi - Managing Partner, Gherzi Textil Organisation; Navdeep Sodhi – Partner, Gherzi Textil Organisation; Santosh Katariya – President, CMAI; and Ankur Gadia - Vice President & Chairman, Govt Subsidy Sub Committee & CSR Sub Committee.

CMAI representatives will also participate in discussions focused on sustainability, manufacturing competitiveness and the future of the apparel industry.
