CMAI Postpones North India Garment Fair Due to Conflict

The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI) has officially announced the postponement of the 3rd North India Garment Fair (NIGF), originally scheduled to take place from May 27 to 29, 2025, at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre (IICC) in Dwarka, New Delhi.
This decision was made after thorough discussions and in light of recent tensions along the India-Pakistan border, which have significantly impacted the northern region. CMAI acknowledged the concerns raised by exhibitors and attendees and emphasized that the move was intended to honor their sentiments during a time of uncertainty.
CMAI President Santosh Katariya stated, “Considering the current situation following the border conflict, particularly in North India, we have decided to postpone the third edition of NIGF. This decision, made after detailed discussions with stakeholders, reflects the prevailing subdued market mood. Importantly, the event has been postponed—not canceled—and will be held at a later, more appropriate time.”
CMAI reaffirmed its commitment to the garment industry and assured that the new dates for the event will be shared as soon as conditions improve, reaffirming its dedication to providing a platform for trade and collaboration when the environment is more conducive.
