Cinte Techtextil China 2026 to Spotlight Technical Textile Innovation with Specialised Zones and Industry Forums
September exhibition in Shanghai to focus on Medtech, Protech, Mobiltech, AI, sustainability and global collaboration
Cinte Techtextil China will take place from 1–3 September 2026, focusing on emerging opportunities across the technical textiles and nonwovens industry through specialised exhibition zones and a knowledge-driven fringe programme.
The exhibition will place particular emphasis on Medtech & Protech, Indutech and Buildtech, while continuing dedicated areas for Mobiltech and Textile Chemicals and Dyes. The German Zone and European Zone will also return, bringing together international manufacturers and technology providers.
According to China Customs, China's technical textiles and nonwovens sector maintained stable imports during the first two months of 2026, while exports reached USD 7.7 billion, representing a 17.7% year-on-year increase. The exhibition will reflect growing demand across application areas including Mobiltech, Medtech, Protech, Indutech and Buildtech.
Among the exhibitors confirmed for the 2026 edition are Dawnsens New Material, Picanol NV, and Zhejiang Jinda Coating.
During the fair's networking event held at Techtextil in April, Ms R.Lalitha, I.A.S., Commissioner of Textiles, State Government of Tamil Nadu, India, said:
“The fair’s focus on Indutech, Mobiltech, and Medtech aligns perfectly with Tamil Nadu’s automotive and medical textile strengths. As we encourage our industries to foray into high-value, sustainable technical textiles, this platform is vital for mutual cooperation and understanding recent developments in China. Cinte Techtextil China’s fringe event themes are also highly on point, capturing where the future of textiles lies.”
Specialised Zones
The Textile Chemicals and Dyes Zone in Hall W5 and the Mobiltech Zone in Hall W4 will continue to showcase products for key industrial applications.
The Mobiltech Zone has previously attracted buyers including Hyosung, Hyundai, Li Auto, Mazda, SAIC-GM, SAIC Volkswagen, Tesla, and Zeekr. One of this year's exhibitors, Shanghai Shenda, will display automotive carpets, headliners, trunks, parcel shelves, wheel arch liners, dash insulators and acoustic components.
Europe remained China's largest supplier of technical textiles in 2025, accounting for 26% of import value. The German Zone and European Zone within the Overseas Zone (W5) will feature companies including:
- Groz-Beckert, supplier of industrial machine needles, precision parts, fine tools and systems for textile and nonwoven manufacturing.
- Swisstulle (Qingdao), owned by Swisstulle AG, specialising in knitted, finished and dyed tulle fabrics for lingerie, automotive sunshades and home textiles.
The Nonwoven Federation of India (NWFI) will also participate in the Overseas Zone, representing India's spunbond nonwoven fabric manufacturing sector and providing opportunities for international business collaboration.
Fringe Programme
The exhibition's fringe programme will be organised around four themes:
- Industry Insights
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Innovation
- Sustainability
The China International Nonwovens Conference (CINC) will serve as the flagship conference alongside technical sessions and end-use guided tours.
AI-focused sessions will examine the use of advanced models in textile manufacturing and supply chains. Innovation activities will include exhibitor presentations and project showcases by domestic and international textile students.
A dedicated Mobiltech display zone will feature developments for the new energy vehicle (NEV) sector, including interior materials, lightweight composites, smart-sensing fabrics and acoustic insulation solutions.
Under the sustainability programme, Econogy Tours will introduce buyers to exhibitors that have completed the Econogy Check, highlighting sustainable production practices and environmentally focused materials.
The exhibition will cover 12 application areas, spanning the complete technical textiles and nonwovens value chain—from raw materials and machinery to chemicals, fabrics and finished products.
Cinte Techtextil China 2026 will be held from 1–3 September 2026.
The exhibition is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT, and the China Nonwovens & Industrial Textiles Association (CNITA).
