The CHINA WAVE platform, part of the China Fashion Brand Overseas Action programme, made its impactful return to Pitti Uomo #108 at Fortezza da Basso in Florence. The platform, created by CHIC (China International Fashion Fair) and the China National Garment Association, continues to highlight leading Chinese contemporary menswear.

Under the CHINA WAVE umbrella, seven outstanding Chinese brands were showcased: BAOGET, BEEKITE, CALLITAPUREDAY, CANOTWAIT_, LABEL·U, SEWMOD, and SOMETHING STORE*. The collective presentation was held in 264 square meters at the Costruzioni Lorenesi area of the fairgrounds, aligning with Pitti Uomo’s theme “TWO WHEELS, ONE GREAT LOVE. PITTI BIKES”, which explores balance, freedom, and the blend of tech and lifestyle in urban mobility.

SEWMOD, founded by designer Wu Qiuxiong, brings a concept of gentle aesthetics into fashion through refined, hand-woven Chinese fabrics. The garments present a minimalist aesthetic and value traditional craftsmanship.

BAOGET represents a luxurious accessory brand that creatively draws from Chinese religious architecture. The brand blends the wabi-sabi aesthetic with modern expression.

BEEKITE interprets clothing through architectural language, emphasizing genderless, minimal silhouettes that combine comfort with visual impact.

CALLITAPUREDAY resists the pursuit of perfection in favor of authenticity. Its designs deconstruct tailoring traditions while embracing Chinese culture and poetic artistry.

CANOTWAIT_, a brand founded by William Chan, is a fashion platform merging contemporary art, music, and youth culture. It reflects a passionate lifestyle with an imaginative design language.

Label-U is committed to quality fabrics, detail, and functionality. With a focus on both formal and casual styles, it integrates classic elegance and modern tailoring.

SOMETHING STORE* focuses on strong visual communication, incorporating internationally recognized graphics and a keen understanding of fashion trends to form its bold and appealing design language.

The CHINA WAVE exhibition not only emphasized original design and aesthetics but also encouraged cultural exchange between Chinese creativity and global fashion. It serves as a strategic platform for Chinese brands looking to strengthen their global influence and visibility.

Following the successful showing at Pitti Uomo 108, CHIC will hold its next session in Shanghai from September 2–4, 2025, and will also participate in Who’s Next in Paris from September 6–8, 2025, further extending the presence of Chinese fashion brands in the global market.
