CHIC Autumn 2025: China’s Fashion Fair Draws 60,000+ Visitors

The Autumn 2025 edition of CHIC, China International Fashion Fair, held from September 2–4 in Shanghai, concluded successfully as the country’s largest fashion and lifestyle trade show. With over 650 exhibitors spread across 60,000 square meters and attracting more than 60,000 professional visitors, CHIC reinforced its status as Asia’s most influential fashion platform.
The event’s guiding theme, “Autumn Picnic”, created a relaxed and inspiring environment where business, creativity, and lifestyle intersected. Its strategic focus, “New Intelligence, New Products, New Scenes”, emphasized the fashion industry’s transformation through supply chain innovation, sustainability, and digitalization.
Consumer trends such as lifestyle fashion, sportswear, and “Guo Feng” (national style) dominated demand, while international participation from Italy, Germany, Japan, Korea, India, and Hong Kong China highlighted CHIC’s position as a gateway to the Chinese market. More than 60 matchmaking sessions and mobility services provided by Didi Chuxing enhanced business opportunities and visitor convenience.
According to Chen Dapeng, Vice President of the China National Textile Council and President of the China National Garment Association and CHIC:
“CHIC is far more than an exhibition – it is a strategic hub where the future of the fashion economy takes shape. With the Autumn 2025 edition, we demonstrated that China’s apparel industry continues to show innovation, resilience, and global appeal, even in a challenging environment. International brands find here the right partners, distribution channels, and market opportunities.”
The fair showcased intelligent manufacturing, ESG-aligned supply chains, digital solutions, and over 100,000 SKUs across diverse categories, from denim and sportswear to silk, cotton, and avant-garde designer collections. Chinese labels, including May D. Wang, underscored their growing international relevance, with many brands presenting collections both at CHIC and international platforms like Pitti Uomo in Florence.
Key exhibitors and categories ranged from denim specialists (Ange, Muundim, Morning Grazing, Yizhuo) and sportswear brands (Aovat, Engellya, Calemur, Vstarry) to national style leaders (Shang Jiu Kai, Jixiang Yijia, Yinyou, Guopu). Tech companies including PSAI, ARGUS, CHAOJIHUI, and FEILIU TECH highlighted the digitalization of production with AI, 3D printing, and smart equipment.
The Sustainable Innovation Zone and the 2025 Circular Stewardship Fashion Conference drew global organizations like UNEP, Lenzing Group, Decathlon, and Nike, addressing ESG strategies, circular economy frameworks, and carbon accounting.
International participation remained strong, with Italian delegations and brands reporting highly positive results. Executives such as Fabio Sopranzetti (Franco Giazzi Srl), Raffaele Vedani (Cinzia Caldi), Mauro Lore (Blanca Luz), and Catia Saetti (Karma) all praised CHIC as China’s most professional and effective fashion fair. German label Studio Ayasse GmbH secured new partnerships, confirming CHIC’s ability to deliver tangible results.
The fair attracted 60,977 visitors from 83 countries, including buyers, retailers, platforms like SHEIN, JD, Galeries Lafayette, and technology leaders from Taobao, FMG Fashion Dynamics Group, and others.
Despite global challenges such as US tariffs, China’s apparel industry showcased adaptability through cost optimization, digital innovation, and flexible supply chains. CHIC underlined China’s evolution from a production hub to an innovation leader, offering global brands opportunities in authenticity, digital presence, and cultural integration.
Chen Dapeng further emphasized:
“Despite a challenging economic environment, CHIC remains the central platform where the future of the global fashion economy is shaped. It is here that partnerships are built, supply chains redefined, and innovations brought to market. Especially in times of global change, CHIC proves that innovation, sustainability, and international collaboration are the keys to growth and competitiveness.”
The next edition, CHIC Spring 2026, will be held from March 11–13, 2026 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center, Shanghai.
