BW Converting to Showcase Baldwin TexCoat G4 at Guatemala’s 33rd Apparel Sourcing Show

Precision spray finishing system targets higher productivity with lower water, chemical and energy consumption
BW Converting will introduce textile manufacturers attending Guatemala’s 33rd Apparel Sourcing Show to the production capabilities of its Baldwin TexCoat® G4 precision spray finishing system.
The event, taking place from Aug. 18-20 at the Tikal Futura Convention Center in Guatemala City, is focused on the apparel and textile industry in the DR-CAFTA region. BW Converting will participate through its local agent, Maprimaq, at booths 25 and 26.
The Apparel Sourcing Show brings together companies across the regional textile supply chain, including yarn, textiles, inputs, machinery and specialised services.
Precision Spray Technology for Textile Finishing
The TexCoat G4 uses non-contact precision spray technology to apply a controlled and uniform quantity of chemistry to one or both sides of a fabric.
According to BW Converting, the system can reduce wet pick-up by up to 50 percent compared with conventional finishing methods. The lower moisture load can also reduce water consumption and cut the energy required for drying by as much as 50 percent.
The system is designed to recycle chemistry during fabric and chemical changeovers, supporting zero chemical waste from the changeover process.
Automated cleaning routines, rapid job changeovers and recipe control are also incorporated to support production uptime, consistency and traceability.
Increasing Output Without Adding a Complete Finishing Line

The system is designed to integrate with existing textile finishing equipment, providing mills with an option to increase production without necessarily installing another complete finishing line.
Its non-contact application process also avoids bath contamination and chemical dilution in wet-on-wet applications, supporting more consistent finishing results across production runs.
Zaman Textile Mills Reports Higher Production
Results reported by Zaman Textile Mills in Pakistan provide an example of the system's use in a production environment.
Atif Siddiqui, Technical Director, Zaman Textile Mills, said:
“Compared with machines not equipped with TexCoat G4, we have achieved 30 percent more production with the system’s aerosol spray technology. Chemical usage has also decreased by up to 50 percent compared to our earlier methods. Compared with the conventional method, TexCoat G4 improves the hand feel of the fabric and the overall quality of the finished product.”
Zaman Textile Mills also reported consistent chemical application across the full fabric width during extended production runs.
The reduced quantity of finishing solution applied to the fabric enabled the mill to increase machine speed and production output while reducing utility and chemical costs.

BW Converting said the TexCoat G4 is intended to help textile mills improve finishing productivity while maintaining control over resource consumption.
