Businessline MSME Conclave Highlights Crisis Resilience, Financing, and Clean Mobility

Coimbatore edition focuses on financing strategies, clean mobility, and investment opportunities for MSMEs, featuring industry leaders and policymakers.

The Hindu Businessline is organising the fifth edition of its annual MSME Conclave across two cities in June 2026. Following the Bengaluru event held on June 25, the conclave moves to Coimbatore on June 27, where discussions will centre on financing strategies that help MSMEs navigate crises while transitioning towards clean mobility.

The theme for the Coimbatore edition is "Resilient Routes: Financing MSMEs from Crisis to Clean Mobility." The event will examine the role of MSMEs in India's economic growth while addressing funding challenges and emerging business opportunities.

Jairam Varadaraj, Managing Director of ELGI Equipments, will deliver the keynote address. Raghuvir Srinivasan, Editor of The Hindu Businessline, will also address participants.

The conclave will feature two panel discussions along with a fireside chat.

A special address on "Kerala: Your next investment destination" will be delivered by Arun K. Vijayan, IAS, Director, Industries and Managing Director, KSIDC.

The first panel discussion, titled "Financing in Times of War," will include:

  • Karthikeyan Mounaguruswamy, Immediate Past President, CODISSIA
  • Rahul Jyothikumaran, Head – SME Business
  • Sundaram Finance
  • Kumar Duraiswamy, CEO, Eastern Global Clothing and Joint Secretary, Tiruppur Exporters Association

The session will be moderated by Lokeshwari S. K., Data Editor, The Hindu Businessline.

The second panel discussion, "The Clean Mobility Opportunity for MSMEs," will feature:

  • Dr. S. Chandrasekar, Corporate Director – Roots Group of Companies; Founder Trustee & VP – Society for Smart E-mobility
  • Shreshth Mishra, Co-founder & Chief People Officer, Simple Energy
  • Sudeepth Puthumana, Head of Mobility, L&T Electronic Products and Systems

The discussion will be moderated by Ramesh M, Consulting Editor, The Hindu Businessline.

The event will conclude with a fireside chat featuring Ravichandran Purushothaman, Chairman – CII Southern Region and President, Danfoss India, hosted by Richa Mishra, Resident Editor, The Hindu Businessline.

The conclave is co-powered by the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) and the Central Bank of India.
