Brückner Boosts Energy Tech for Greener Textile Finishing

For over 75 years, German mechanical engineering company BRÜCKNER has been a trusted name in the global market for textile finishing machinery. As a family-run business, its key areas of expertise include coating, drying, heat-setting, and related processes. A consistent focus of the company has been on environmental protection and optimizing energy use. Efforts to reduce emissions, conserve resources, and adopt flexible heating systems have long driven its R&D—and this commitment is now entering a new phase.

To strengthen this focus, BRÜCKNER has created a dedicated Environmental and Energy Technology department, under the leadership of Mr. Andreas Troscheit. This new division encompasses all technologies related to heat recovery and exhaust air purification. Mr. Troscheit, who has overseen the Technology Center in Leonberg and provided technical consulting for three years, will now lead a specialized team.
He is joined by Mr. Tobias Keitel, who is responsible for system design and distribution, and Mr. David Knies, who focuses on software and controls. Among the tools under this new division is ExperTex, an intelligent simulation system. Available on all new BRÜCKNER machines—and adaptable to older models depending on their production year—ExperTex allows customers to increase efficiency while minimizing energy usage.
The company's offering in energy and environmental systems is broad. Its modular heat-recovery and exhaust air cleaning units are available as standalone solutions or integrated packages, adaptable to individual customer needs. Units can be activated or deactivated depending on process requirements, offering full flexibility.

New automated cleaning systems offer further benefits—reducing energy use, maintenance, labor costs, and extending filter life while maintaining optimal performance. The cleaning programs are fully customizable, allowing continuous production without interruptions.
BRÜCKNER stands out as the only supplier in the market that provides a full range of heat-recovery and exhaust air systems from a single source. The creation of the new energy and environmental technology unit brings together cutting-edge technology, in-depth knowledge, and decades of experience. As BRÜCKNER puts it: customers can leverage this to ensure their textile finishing is both sustainable and ready for the future.
