Bombay Dyeing Showcases Six Indian Craft-Inspired Designs in Celebrating India Bedding Collection

The 100% cotton collection features 300 TC digital prints inspired by Chamba Rumal, Warli art, Chikankari, Wax Batik, carpet patterns and Karad weaving
Bombay Dyeing has introduced six distinctive designs from its Celebrating India Collection, drawing inspiration from traditional Indian embroidery, folk art, textile printing and weaving techniques. The collection translates these artistic influences into contemporary bedding designs, reflecting different aspects of India’s craft heritage.
The six designs—Chamba Rumal, Warli Print, Chikankari, Wax Batik, Carpet Weaving and Karad Weaving Craft—use varied motifs, patterns and colour palettes to connect traditional art forms with modern bedroom interiors. The collection is made from 100% cotton, with 300 thread count (TC) and digital prints.
Six Designs Inspired by India's Craft Traditions
Chamba Rumal: Traditional Embroidery Motifs

Inspired by the embroidery tradition of Chamba, this design features detailed floral patterns, decorative borders and symbolic animal motifs. Shades of blue, red, green and yellow bring colour to the design, drawing on the visual language of traditional Indian embroidery.
Warli Print: Folk Art and Geometric Patterns

The Warli Print design takes inspiration from traditional Warli folk art, incorporating geometric shapes, nature-inspired elements and motifs associated with the Tarpa dance. Its earthy colour palette and expressive patterns offer a contemporary interpretation of tribal artistry for modern interiors.
Chikankari: Floral Details in Pastel Shades

Drawing on the delicate patterns of Chikankari embroidery, this design features intricate floral motifs and subtle detailing. Its colour palette includes blush pink, sky blue, mint green and lavender, creating a soft look for contemporary bedrooms.
Wax Batik: Abstract Motifs and Layered Colours

Inspired by traditional wax-resist textile printing, the Wax Batik design combines abstract leaf motifs, geometric patterns and layered colour effects. Mint, peach, lavender and blue form the palette, bringing a contemporary appearance to the craft-inspired design.
Carpet Weaving: Ornamental Patterns and Rich Colours

The Carpet Weaving design draws from traditional carpet aesthetics, including intricate Persian-style patterns, Turkish gul motifs and ornamental details. Deep maroon, indigo and warm earthy shades add depth and visual character to the bedding design.
Karad Weaving Craft: Geometric Borders and Textures

Inspired by traditional weaving practices, the Karad Weaving Craft design incorporates geometric borders, textured patterns and motifs associated with woven textiles. Deep maroon, terracotta, brown and beige make up its earthy colour palette, combining traditional influences with contemporary styling.
