BODICE x Bemberg™ Explore Identity Through Sustainable Fashion

Contemporary Indian fashion label BODICE unveiled its latest collection at its flagship store in New Delhi, spotlighting a collaboration with Bemberg™, the regenerated cellulose fiber brand by Asahi Kasei. This collection explores self-discovery, identity, and sustainability through a fusion of thoughtful craftsmanship and storytelling.
Inspired by a cross-cultural journey that began in Japan—where BODICE founder Ruchika Sachdeva visited Kyoto and Nobeoka (home to Bemberg's facility)—the collaboration deepened through sourcing trips to India’s textile hubs, Surat and Varanasi. These travels led to a curated fabric selection using Bemberg™ yarn, reinforcing the brand’s dedication to responsible sourcing.
This collection marks BODICE’s return to the runway and reflects a philosophy of transformation. With Japanese-inspired precision and Indian artisanal techniques, the line features Bemberg™-based fabrics, Jaipur’s brush-printing, and upcycled color-blocking. Every piece is designed to blend function with timelessness—celebrating craftsmanship and reducing fashion waste.
Sachdeva describes the collection as a personal and professional evolution, saying, “This is more than a collection—it’s a conversation between heritage and innovation, tradition and transformation.”
Takeshi Iitaka, General Manager of the Bemberg Division at Asahi Kasei, shared: “This collaboration embodies the values we stand for—sustainability, cultural exchange, and innovation in textiles. We are proud to support a collection that connects two countries and two philosophies in such a meaningful way.”
Set against a lush, spring-inspired backdrop with immersive sound design, the presentation brought the themes of change and self-expression to life through movement, form, and storytelling.Make Primary
