Beyond The Curve Expands Inclusive Fashion Access with Trend-Led Collections for Curvy Women

VIRGIO’s size-inclusive fashion proposition, co-created with Anjali Anand, extends its retail presence while offering contemporary styles in sizes 2XL to 6XL.

Beyond The Curve, VIRGIO’s size-inclusive fashion proposition co-created with actor and fashion advocate Anjali Anand, is expanding its presence through VIRGIO’s retail network, including its store at Infiniti Mall, Malad West, Mumbai. The initiative combines inclusive fashion, trend-focused design and VIRGIO’s Made-On-Demand approach to provide contemporary styles across extended size ranges.

The proposition has been developed around the principle that inclusivity should begin during the design process. Instead of adapting existing styles into larger sizes, Beyond The Curve considers fit, silhouettes, proportions and the preferences of curvy consumers from the initial stages of product development. The collection currently covers sizes from 2XL to 6XL, with designs focused on contemporary trends, comfort and versatility.

Over the past year, Beyond The Curve has served over 30,000 customers, achieved an ARR of ₹25 crore, and built a community of more than 100,000 followers on Instagram. The growth reflects increasing demand for contemporary, trend-led fashion designed with curvy women at the centre.

The collection also focuses on creating fashion aligned with the preferences of curvy women, covering both everyday wear and occasion-led styles through contemporary silhouettes. The approach places design, fit and consumer preferences at the centre while expanding fashion choices beyond conventional plus-size offerings.

Anjali Anand, Co-Creator, Beyond The Curve said, “Inclusivity in fashion is about making women feel seen, represented and free to express themselves through what they wear. For me, Beyond The Curve has always been about creating that sense of belonging — where curvy women are not expected to compromise on style, fit or self-expression. Being part of the process from the beginning has made this deeply personal, because I know what it feels like when fashion doesn’t make space for you. I want Beyond The Curve to keep challenging that idea and show women that they deserve to see themselves at the centre of fashion.”

Adding to the sentiment, Amar Nagaram, Co-Founder & CEO, VIRGIO expressed, “Beyond The Curve is a strong example of what becomes possible when we stop designing for an assumed consumer and start listening to the consumer. For us, inclusive fashion is not about creating a larger version of an existing product; it is about building the product differently from the beginning, with the consumer at the centre.”

As part of its retail expansion, Beyond The Curve is extending its presence beyond digital channels into physical stores. The Malad location offers customers an opportunity to explore trend-led styles and shop across extended sizes in person.

The Beyond The Curve collection is available through VIRGIO’s website, Myntra, AJIO and Nykaa Fashion, providing access to its range of contemporary styles in extended sizes.
