BCH’s ‘RIGHT’ Hygiene Conference Marks 20 Years with 600 Participants from 31 Countries

Eighth edition brings together manufacturers, brands, suppliers and investors to discuss India’s growing absorbent hygiene industry

The eighth edition of BCH’s ‘RIGHT’ Hygiene Conference, held on September 8–9, 2026, at Andaz by Hyatt, New Delhi, brought together 600 participants from more than 31 countries and 270 organisations.

The conference marked 20 years of ‘RIGHT’ Hygiene, which began in 2006. Under the theme “India Goes Global, World Goes India,” the two-day event examined developments across absorbent hygiene products, manufacturing, materials, machinery, consumer trends and international market opportunities.

Industry Stakeholders Gather in New Delhi

The conference brought together manufacturers and converters, FMCG and private-label brands, raw material and machinery suppliers, PE and VC firms, as well as stakeholders from government and social sectors.

Discussions covered sanitary napkins, period panties, baby diapers, adult diapers and wet wipes, with presentations and sessions addressing products, processes, materials and machinery.

Around 70 brand and converter companies participated, accounting for nearly one-third of the total participation. The conference highlighted the expansion of India’s hygiene industry from a small number of players a decade ago to a broader ecosystem of manufacturers and brands.

Two Days of Market and Industry Discussions

Day 1 began with a special 20-year retrospective, featuring industry veterans Alok Birla of Swara Baby Products, Kamal Kumar Johari of Nobel Hygiene and Nirav Mehta of Dima Products. The session examined the evolution of baby, adult and feminine hygiene in India and the industry’s future direction.

Other sessions addressed the Indian market, manufacturing efficiency, global trends and innovation, with participation from BCH, Osprey Corporation, H.B. Fuller, Nordson India, Jofo Nonwovens, Nanliu Enterprise, The LYCRA Company and Sumitomo Seika.

The Global Stake Exchange Panel brought international market leaders together to discuss emerging trends and changing consumer expectations. Day 1 concluded with the ‘RIGHT’ Hygiene Awards, followed by cocktails and dinner.

Day 2 focused on consumers, retail and emerging opportunities in India. A Ladies’ Panel Discussion and a keynote by Supam Maheshwari of FirstCry examined retail transformation and the growing role of private labels.

Further sessions covered market evolution, wet wipes, sustainable materials, manufacturing and standards, with participation from Romsons Group, Grasim Industries, Fibers365, Elixrr Industries, Sekhani Industries and BIS. The Brands Panel and Industry Panel discussed changes in the marketplace and the sector’s next phase.

Consumer and Market Engagement

A dedicated “Meet Your Consumer” session brought consumer voices from different regions and segments into discussions with industry participants.

The Right Hygiene Supermarket and OEM Marketplace featured more than 200 hygiene products and brands along with their manufacturers.

Ahead of the conference, the workshop “Is India’s Absorbent Hygiene Industry Your Next Growth Opportunity?” brought together family businesses, new-age founders, investors and operators to discuss opportunities in the sector.

The exhibition featured more than 55 companies, providing opportunities for product interaction and industry networking. Global Nonwovens participated as Platinum Sponsor, while KTEX Nonwovens and SB Constantia were Gold Sponsors, alongside other industry participants.
