Company to showcase spinning, filtration and recycling technologies at joint booth with Barmag and Tekstil Servis

BB Engineering will present its newly patented “ValuePack” spin pack at ITM Istanbul 2026, scheduled from June 9–13 at the Tüyap Fair Convention and Congress Center. The company will exhibit in Hall 7, Booth 702B, together with its parent company Barmag and representative Tekstil Servis.

The German machinery manufacturer will showcase technologies related to manmade fiber production and recycling, including extruders, filters, spinning systems for synthetic fibers, air-texturing systems, and PET recycling solutions.

ValuePack Introduced as New Spin Pack Technology

BB Engineering stated that the new ValuePack combines metal sand and filter candle technologies in a two-step filtration process. According to the company, conventional spin packs typically use either metal powder (“sand”) or filter candles as filter media, each suited to different applications.

The ValuePack system first directs the melt through a filter candle for filtration over a large filter surface down to 15 µm, followed by flow through a sand chamber intended for homogenization and shearing processes.

According to the company, the system is designed to improve homogeneity in temperature and viscosity, support spinning performance, and enhance yarn quality across multiple applications, including recycling operations.

BB Engineering also stated that the ValuePack includes a forced-sealed design independent of pressure to help prevent leaks associated with self-sealing packages. Existing systems can reportedly be retrofitted to accommodate the longer spin pack design.

VarioFil® Compact Spinning System to be Displayed

The company will also feature its VarioFil® compact spinning system at the exhibition. BB Engineering stated that the system is designed for production of POY, FDY, HTY, LSY, and HMY yarns using common polymers, with production capacity of up to 450 kg/h per extruder.

According to the company, VarioFil® systems are also used for direct spinning of recycled PET or bottle flakes into POY or FDY yarns.

“Our compact spinning system perfectly meets the needs of the Turkish textile market. Fibers and yarns from our VarioFil® customers are used, for example, in clothing, carpets, or textile automotive components such as seat covers or seat belts,” said Ralf Morgenroth.

BB Engineering stated that more than 60 VarioFil® systems have been installed since the product’s market launch, with Türkiye representing the company’s largest market for the system.

COBRA® Filter Designed for Recycling Applications

The company will additionally showcase its COBRA® filter system, first introduced at the Plastics Recycling Show Europe and K 2025.

According to BB Engineering, the filter was developed to process higher contamination levels in recycling applications while simplifying filter changes and cleaning through automation.

The system includes two filter cartridges with automatic switching and an integrated cleaning system intended to support continuous filtration without chemical cleaning processes.

BB Engineering stated that the COBRA® filter is suitable for both coarse and fine filtration applications, including PET recycling and plastic spinning processes.
