Barmag to Showcase Sustainable Synthetic Yarn Technologies at Egy Stitch & Tex Expo 2026

Company to present solutions for synthetic yarn production, recycling, and textile processing technologies at the Cairo exhibition from September 24–27.

Barmag, together with BB Engineering (BBE), will participate in Egy Stitch & Tex Expo 2026, taking place from September 24 to 27 in Cairo, Egypt. The companies will present technologies covering the synthetic yarn production chain, including recycling, extrusion, spinning, texturing, and customer service solutions at the ATAG Ltd. booth (Hall 1, Booth C1).

Barmag and BB Engineering to Present Textile Production Technologies at Egy Stitch & Tex Expo 2026

Barmag and BB Engineering (BBE) will showcase technologies for the production of synthetic yarns under the theme "A New Era. Powered by Innovation." at Egy Stitch & Tex Expo 2026 in Cairo.

Located at Hall 1, Booth C1, the exhibition will feature solutions spanning the complete textile value chain—from melt to yarn—including technologies for continuous polycondensation, extrusion, POY, FDY and IDY yarn production, as well as DTY, ATY, effect yarns and specialty yarns.

The portfolio also includes systems for BCF carpet yarns, staple fibers, nonwovens, and recycling technologies designed to support sustainable textile manufacturing.

Egypt's Growing Role in the Manmade Fiber Industry

According to Barmag, Egypt is emerging as a strategic hub for the manmade fiber industry, supported by increasing demand for high-quality textiles across the Middle East and North Africa.

The company noted that rising investments in the textile sector and stronger regional value chains are creating growth opportunities for manufacturers and processors in the region.

Polycondensation Technology for Recycled Polyester

Barmag Huitong Engineering will present its homogenization technology for the thermomechanical recycling of post-industrial polyester waste, including bottle flakes and film material.

The technology is designed to increase viscosity, enabling the production of intermediate products for pellets, melt or direct spinning into fibers. It also supports improved polymer quality, greater utilization of recycled materials and reduced dependence on external raw material suppliers.

DTY Systems for Multiple Polymer Types

Barmag's DTY technology portfolio includes modular systems for processing polyester, polyamide, polypropylene, PLA and PTT.

The systems are designed to deliver consistent yarn quality while optimizing operating costs. Their modular configuration enables manufacturers to respond to changing market requirements and produce a broad range of yarn products.

Solutions for Specialty and Fancy Yarns

The company will also present technologies for manufacturing specialty and effect yarns, including cotton-like, linen-like and wool-like yarns.

Using flexible equipment and process technologies, manufacturers can control yarn characteristics while expanding product offerings for different textile applications.

Technology for Carpet and Home Textile Yarns

Barmag's solution for carpet and home textile manufacturers combines the WINGS HD POY winder with the eAFK Big-V texturing machine.

The system is designed to produce polyester yarns with BCF-like properties, including soft texture and high volume, for carpet and home textile applications.

BB Engineering Introduces ValuePack for VarioFil®

BB Engineering will showcase its VarioFil® compact spinning system, developed for manufacturers producing smaller batches or specialized products.

The system processes multiple polymers and can be combined with Barmag's texturing technologies to manufacture standard, specialty and carpet yarns.

The VarioFil® R+ version also enables the direct processing of PET bottle pellets and production waste into POY.

This year, BBE is introducing the ValuePack spinning package, featuring a two-stage filtration system designed to improve melt homogeneity, enhance spinning performance and increase process stability, particularly when processing recycled materials.

JeTex® Expands ATY Yarn Production

BB Engineering will also feature JeTex®, its air-texturing solution for manufacturing ATY yarns from POY and FDY.

The technology is available both as a standalone system and as a retrofit option for existing DTY systems, allowing manufacturers to expand production with limited additional investment.

PET Recycling Technologies on Display

A key focus of the exhibition will be the VacuFil® PET recycling system, which processes various PET waste streams into recycled melt intended to meet virgin material quality standards.

The system incorporates the patented Visco+ technology to remove volatile impurities and regulate intrinsic viscosity automatically.

Another featured solution is the COBRA filter, which can be integrated into existing production systems. The automated filter uses an inline steam-cleaning process without chemicals, allowing production to continue during cleaning while supporting process efficiency and reducing operating costs.

Customer Services for Plant Performance

Barmag will also present its customer service portfolio, which includes technology upgrades, retrofits, preventive maintenance and genuine replacement parts.

Offered under the principle "Partnering for Performance," these services are intended to help chemical fiber manufacturers improve plant productivity, adapt to changing market requirements and support long-term operational performance.
