Barmag and Hitech Partner to Deliver Automated Doffing Solution for eFK Texturing Machines

Barmag (Suzhou) Technology Co., Ltd. and Hitech Automation Solutions PVT LTD. of Surat, India, have entered into an exclusive partnership to jointly market Hitech’s Doffmatic automation solution for Barmag’s manual eFK texturing machines. The collaboration is aimed at addressing challenges associated with manual doffing processes, including scrap generation, quality variations, and productivity limitations.

The companies said the joint offering is designed to provide an option between manual and fully automated systems, focusing on operational efficiency, yarn quality, and return on investment.

Partnership Covers New Machines and Retrofit Projects

Under the agreement, new eFK texturing machines equipped with the Doffmatic system will be marketed as eFK Doffmatic. The partnership also includes retrofit solutions for existing Barmag machines, which will continue to be sold under the established names eFK and Doffmatic.

According to the companies, the arrangement is intended to support both customers planning investments in new equipment and those seeking to modernize existing machinery through phased upgrades.

Automation Without Additional Space Requirements

Doffmatic has been developed as an add-on system that can be integrated into eFK texturing machines without requiring additional floor space. The system enables automatic doffing while maintaining the yarn quality associated with the existing machine platform.

The companies stated that the retrofit approach offers a modernization pathway with short payback periods for both new installations and existing machine upgrades. The solution is targeted at yarn manufacturers looking to improve efficiency, process consistency, and product quality without transitioning immediately to fully automatic texturing machines.

Focus on Consistent Bobbin Length and Process Stability

Doffmatic is designed to automate the doffing process while ensuring bobbins are produced with identical lengths, a factor considered important for quality consistency and downstream processing.
