A.T.E. Group Expands Textile Digitalisation Portfolio Through Partnership with Smartex AI

The collaboration will bring AI-powered fabric inspection and digital factory management solutions to Indian textile manufacturers, focusing on quality control and production visibility.

A.T.E. Enterprises Private Limited has partnered with Portugal-based technology company Smartex AI to expand its textile digitalisation portfolio. Under the partnership, A.T.E. will promote Smartex AI’s artificial intelligence (AI)-powered fabric inspection and digital factory management solutions to the Indian textile industry.

The collaboration aims to support textile manufacturers in strengthening quality control, improving production visibility and advancing factory digitalisation as the industry increasingly adopts automation and data-driven operations.

AI-Based Fabric Inspection for Knits and Wovens

Smartex AI develops inspection technology based on artificial intelligence and machine learning. Its systems identify fabric defects in both knitted and woven fabrics in real time, helping manufacturers monitor quality during production.

The inspection system uses high-resolution cameras, sensors and advanced light analysis to detect fabric defects and irregularities while manufacturing is underway.

Alongside inspection technology, Smartex AI offers a digital factory management platform that provides information on production output, machine productivity and quality performance. These tools give manufacturers greater visibility into factory operations and support informed operational decisions.

A.T.E. to Bring Smartex AI Solutions to Indian Mills

For A.T.E., the partnership adds to its portfolio of technology solutions for the textile industry. Drawing on its presence across the textile value chain and experience in introducing global technologies to Indian manufacturers, the company will work to make Smartex AI’s solutions accessible to textile mills.

The technologies are intended for manufacturers looking to strengthen quality assurance and operational efficiency through real-time inspection and production monitoring.

Live Demonstrations at A.T.E. Booth

Visitors can explore Smartex AI’s fabric inspection technology at the A.T.E. booth (H1-A5). The booth will feature live demonstrations of its real-time fabric inspection capabilities, along with opportunities to interact with product specialists and learn more about the technology.
