Asahi Kasei Advance will showcase its portfolio of high-performance nonwovens, flame-retardant fabrics and advanced textile and fiber solutions for multiple industries at Techtextil 2026. The international trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens will be held from April 21 to 24, 2026, in Frankfurt, Germany.

The company will present 14 brands, with particular emphasis on four key materials, at its debut exhibition stand located in Hall 12.1, booth C35.

Advanced flame protection: LASTAN™
LASTAN™ is a non-mineral flame-retardant fabric produced by air baking a special acrylic fiber at temperatures of 200–300°C. It has a limited oxygen index (LOI) of 47.5–50 and combines flame resistance with electrical insulation properties. A special coating process enables the dispersion of sparks generated during welding or cutting operations, helping to suppress ignition. The material is designed to protect against flames and particle exposure from venting gases and has been used for many years in applications related to safety and failure prevention across different industries.

Durable and recyclable 3D spacer fabric: Cubit™
Cubit™ is a 3D warp-knitted fabric developed for uses requiring durability, breathability, ease of maintenance, and support and comfort. Its front and back surfaces are made of PET, while connecting threads can be PTT, PET or nylon. The all-PET monomaterial version offers a recyclable alternative to polyurethane foam for applications in healthcare, furniture and automotive sectors.

Nonwovens for hygiene and cleaning: Bemliese™
Bemliese™ is a continuous filament nonwoven sheet produced from cotton linter cellulose. After moistening, the material becomes soft and conforms easily to contacted surfaces with reduced abrasion. Its moisture absorption and retention characteristics make it suitable for hygiene and cosmetic uses, including face and eye masks. In dry form, it produces minimal lint, scratches or chemical residue, supporting use in industrial, laboratory and medical cleaning applications where contamination control is required. TÜV AUSTRIA Belgium NV has certified its biodegradability in soil, water and marine environments, as well as its suitability for industrial and home composting.

Binder-free versatility: ELTAS™
ELTAS™ is a spunbond nonwoven material available in polyamide, polyester and polypropylene types. All grades are binder-free and can be supplied in ultra-thin, low-weight forms. The material is characterized by filament uniformity, air permeability and resistance to edge fraying. Applications include hygiene products, consumer and household goods, automotive components, filtration, agriculture, construction materials, tea bags and cable wrapping solutions.
