Arvind Limited Appoints New Chief Executive for Denim Business

Arvind Limited has announced the appointment of Rajarshi Ghosh as Chief Executive Officer of its Denim business, effective January 2026. In this role, he will oversee business strategy with a focus on improving profitability, strengthening relationships with customers, and expanding digital integration across the denim value chain, while reinforcing a results-oriented work culture.

Commenting on the appointment, Punit Lalbhai, Vice Chairman of Arvind Limited, said that the decision reflects the company’s strategic priorities for the denim segment. He noted that Ghosh’s industry experience and ability to convert long-term strategy into operational execution are expected to support improvements in customer engagement, accelerate digital transformation, and build a stronger performance-driven organisation.

Rajarshi Ghosh described the role as a significant professional milestone, noting that Arvind was where his career began. He said he looks forward to working closely with teams and customers to further strengthen the company’s denim operations through sustainable business growth, wider digital capabilities, and consistent execution.

Ghosh brings close to 30 years of experience in the textile and apparel sector, covering business transformation, manufacturing leadership, and innovation across large-scale production networks. He started his professional journey at Arvind as a management trainee and spent more than two decades developing expertise in quality systems, operational performance, and product innovation.

Prior to his return to Arvind, he served as Chief Operating Officer at Jindal Worldwide Limited, where he was responsible for operations and supply chain management across denim, shirting, and bottom-weight fabrics. His earlier roles include senior leadership positions at Welspun Group, where he worked as President and Business Head at Welspun Living and as Senior Vice President at Welspun Flooring, leading business expansion, capacity development, and productivity initiatives.

Rajarshi Ghosh holds a Master’s degree in Textile Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi and a Bachelor’s degree in Textile Technology from the University of Calcutta.
