Archroma Unveils Sustainable Innovations at Performance Days 2025

Archroma, a global leader in specialty chemicals focused on sustainable innovations, will present cutting-edge solutions that deliver sustainable performance without compromise for functional fabrics at PERFORMANCE DAYS 2025 in Munich this month.
At the event, Archroma’s experts will showcase innovative dyes and finishes that demonstrate how brands can achieve both high performance and environmental responsibility. The featured technologies target sportswear, athleisure, and workwear, where durability, comfort, and sustainability are equally essential.
“It is no longer true that you need to sacrifice high performance for sustainability,” said Dhirendra Gautam, Vice President, Commercial at Archroma. “Whether it's colors that stay vibrant wash after wash, or softness that lasts without sacrificing absorbency, we're showing that brands can deliver the performance consumers demand while advancing their environmental commitments. This is especially critical for functional fabrics where performance is non-negotiable.”
HIGH IQ® LASTINGCOLOR PRO: Durability Meets Sustainability
At PERFORMANCE DAYS, Archroma will feature its HIGH IQ® LASTINGCOLOR PRO series, including LASTINGCOLOR PRO and LASTINGBLACK PRO, reaffirming the company’s mission to create colors that perform sustainably.
The HIGH IQ® performance assurance program ensures that fabrics maintain their new look over multiple washes, keeping bright shades intense and dark colors rich. Powered by AVITERA® SE reactive dyes, the program enables mills and brands to achieve superior color retention while cutting water and energy use by up to 50%. For high-visibility workwear and activewear, where long-lasting color is crucial, the HIGH IQ® LASTINGCOLOR PRO ensures durability for up to 50 wash cycles, offering performance, comfort, and compliance with global environmental standards.
SILIGEN® D2W LIQ C: Softness Without Compromise
Visitors will also get a first look at SILIGEN® D2W LIQ C, the industry’s first durable silicone softener for cellulosic and cotton-lycra blended knits that maintains both luxurious softness and absorbency through repeated use.
Traditionally, softeners either sacrificed absorbency for durability or lost their effects quickly after washing. Archroma’s patent-pending micro-x chemistry in SILIGEN® D2W LIQ C creates a cross-linkable microemulsion that forms a stable silicone network inside the fibers. This ensures even softener distribution, wash resistance, and long-lasting comfort—ideal for performance textiles demanding both softness and moisture control.
The product also introduces a new standard in objective handfeel measurement, enabling mills and brands to quantify softness durability with greater transparency.
Complete Portfolio for Functional Performance
Archroma will also highlight its PHOBOTEX® NTR-50 liq, a bio-based, non-PFAS, and non-formaldehyde durable water repellent containing 50% renewable carbon content (per ASTM D6866). PHOBOTEX® NTR-50 provides excellent water repellence across fibers while ensuring a soft touch, making it ideal for sportswear and outdoor apparel.
Rounding out the exhibit are EarthColors® technology, which produces dyes from agricultural waste such as nutshells and cotton residues, and AVITERA® GENERATION NEXT, the latest extension of Archroma’s dye platform that enhances economical sustainability for dark shades like black, navy, and red.
