Anmako Launches SEISO Occasion Wear Collection Featuring Batik Tulis and Natural-Dye Fabrics

Singapore fashion label introduces formalwear for weddings, celebrations and professional occasions, with prices ranging from S$229 to S$899
Singapore fashion label Anmako has launched its SEISO Collection, a range of occasion wear designed for weddings, anniversaries, graduation ceremonies, formal events and professional settings.
Officially launched on 21 August 2026, the collection takes its name from the Japanese term 「正装」, meaning “formal wear”. It was developed in response to customer demand for clothing suited to significant occasions and expands Anmako’s existing range of everyday, holiday and formal wear.
The collection combines heritage-inspired fabrics and traditional silhouettes with contemporary designs, with an emphasis on pieces intended to remain relevant beyond a single season.
“The SEISO Collection elevates our signature designs and craftsmanship into a more refined collection created especially for formal and meaningful occasions,” said Eiko Sumantri, Director of Anmako.
Batik Tulis and Natural-Dye Fabrics
Batik Tulis is one of the principal materials featured in the SEISO Collection. Anmako’s batik fabrics are mainly produced in Pekalongan and Cirebon, Indonesia, with many pieces created in limited quantities or as one-of-a-kind designs.
The range also includes Batik Tulis Prada, which features gold detailing. SEISO marks the first Anmako collection to incorporate Natural Dye Batik Tulis.
Made using plant-based dyes, the natural-dye fabric appears in softer shades, including smoky green and blue. It features in the Batik Tulis Natural Dye Dress, offering a more understated colour palette alongside the brighter tones of some cotton-and-silk Batik Tulis pieces.
Traditional Silhouettes with Contemporary Details
Several SEISO designs adapt traditional garment forms for modern wear.
The Sarong Skirt draws inspiration from the traditional sarong but replaces the wrap-and-tie construction with a back zip. The design retains the overall appearance of a sarong while making the garment easier to wear.
The Batik Tulis Cotton/Silk Cheongsam Dress combines a cheongsam silhouette with Batik Tulis fabric. Its cotton-and-silk blend provides a subtle sheen compared with pure cotton, making it suitable for formal occasions.
The collection also features a White/Gold Lace Dress, which differs from many of Anmako’s existing designs by using neither batik nor Japanese fabric. Its clean silhouette and gold detailing provide another option within the occasion wear range.
Most pieces in the SEISO Collection are one of a kind.
Designed for Weddings, Celebrations and Professional Events
Anmako developed the collection for customers seeking distinctive clothing for weddings, graduation ceremonies, conferences, important meetings, festive celebrations and other significant occasions.
The designs are intended to be worn across different events and seasons rather than for a single occasion.
"We developed SEISO in response to customers looking for distinctive occasion wear pieces for weddings, anniversaries and other special occasions," said Eiko. "It gave us an opportunity to bring the fabrics and craftsmanship associated with Anmako into a collection created specifically for these moments."
Availability and Pricing
The SEISO Collection is available at Anmako’s store on Level 3 of Takashimaya in Singapore and through the brand’s online store.
Prices range from S$229 to S$899. The collection is scheduled to remain available throughout the rest of 2026 and through the Chinese New Year period in 2027.
