ANDRITZ to Showcase Textile Recycling Technologies at Expo 2026

ANDRITZ has announced its participation in the Textile Recycling Expo 2026, where it will exhibit a range of technologies covering multiple stages of textile recycling. The event will take place in Brussels, Belgium, from June 24 to 26, 2026, with ANDRITZ located at Hall C, booth 2022.
The company brings experience in fiber processing and provides systems designed to support textile recycling processes from sorting to fiber production. Its portfolio includes predictive and automated textile sorting, fiber preparation technologies, mechanical and chemical recycling processes, and integrated production systems. These solutions are used to convert textile waste into recycled fibers suitable for spinning, nonwoven applications, recycled polyester production, and other technical uses.
A key feature at the booth will be the ANDRITZ teXscan unit, which will be demonstrated live during the exhibition. The AI-based system evaluates fabric quality prior to recycling and supports material routing decisions for chemical recycling, nonwoven production, or spinning processes. The unit performs non-destructive quality assessment to support process efficiency and consistency.
The teXscan system generates a teXscore within one second, using a scale from 1 to 100, where 100 represents the highest quality level. Based on this score, the system recommends appropriate processing routes such as ring spinning, open-end spinning, nonwoven production, or chemical recycling. This approach is designed to support operational decision-making by aligning material characteristics with suitable recycling processes.
In addition to the teXscan unit, automated sorting systems are used to classify garments by composition and color, while also removing components such as buttons and zippers. These processes prepare textile waste for further fiber processing, enabling its use in spinning, nonwoven, and composite applications.
ANDRITZ will present these technologies to industry participants at booth 2022 in hall 3 during the event.
