Andhra Pradesh Cabinet Approves Aviation Hub, Six Industrial Parks and Annual Aid for Weavers

Cabinet clears infrastructure, clean energy and welfare proposals, including ₹25,000 annual assistance for handloom weavers

At a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at the Secretariat on Thursday, the Andhra Pradesh government approved multiple proposals related to industrial development, infrastructure and welfare.

One of the major decisions was the approval for establishing an integrated aviation and aerospace hub at Puttaparthi. The Cabinet cleared the registration process for 76.13 acres of land sought by SSS Aerospace Private Limited, following a request from the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust. It also approved fresh orders replacing a 1990 Government Order to simplify land registration procedures for the project.

Six Industrial Parks Under BHAVYA Scheme

The Cabinet also approved the development of six sector-specific industrial parks under the Centre’s BHAVYA scheme, aimed at strengthening industrial infrastructure in the state.

Renewable Energy Projects Receive Approval

Several clean energy proposals were also cleared during the meeting.

The Cabinet approved the transfer of nearly 97.37 acres of land in Nandyal district to the Non-Conventional Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Limited (NREDCAP) for AM Green Energy Private Ltd’s proposed 700 MW solar and 300 MW wind energy project.

Additionally, it cleared 9.36 acres in Chittoor district for establishing a compressed bio-gas (CBG) plant by Shreshta Renewables Private Ltd. Approval was also granted for leasing land to NCL Industries for setting up a mini-hydel project.

Annual Assistance for Handloom Weavers

Among the welfare measures, the Cabinet approved a new scheme providing ₹25,000 annual assistance for handloom weavers.

The Cabinet meeting covered investment, infrastructure, renewable energy and welfare-related proposals intended to support industrial development and public welfare across Andhra Pradesh.
