Alva Industries (Alva), a company specializing in frameless motors and the proprietary FiberPrinting™ technology, has released a new collection of white papers focused on the application of its FiberPrinted™ motors in high-performance scenarios.

These newly published white papers are available for direct download and cover the following key topics:

  • SlimTorq™ and its role in enabling Embodied AI
  • FiberPrinted™ motors designed for high-precision SWaP gimbals
  • Use of FiberPrinted™ motors in marine thrusters
  • SlimTorq™ motors developed for powered prosthetics
  • Application of SlimTorq™ in Quasi Direct Drive robotic joints

FiberPrinting™ is an advanced winding technology that enables continuous winding of stator mats in both slotless and ironless rotary and linear motors. This process enhances the copper fill factor and allows for highly customized stator configurations and sizes. The result is a motor optimized for both torque density and precision across a wide variety of form factors.

These white papers are now accessible in the new Papers & Downloads section of Alva’s website, which will be regularly updated with technical publications and useful tools for engineers and developers.

Nicolas Giraudo, Chief Commercial Officer of Alva Industries, stated:
“FiberPrinting™ is redefining what’s possible in electric motor design. By enabling new levels of design freedom, performance, and scalability, it opens up possibilities that were previously out of reach. We’re excited to launch this initial set of application-focused white papers and provide engineers with a deeper understanding of how FiberPrinted™ motors can unlock new levels of performance across demanding use cases.”
