ALUMO Unveils Autumn-Winter 2027/2028 Luxury Shirting Fabric Collection at Milano Unica

Luxury fabric manufacturer highlights heritage-inspired winter shirting fabrics, updated classics and revived jacquard designs at Milano Unica

ALUMO is presenting its Autumn-Winter 2027/2028 collection at Milano Unica, introducing a range of luxury shirting fabrics developed from its historical textile archive.

For the new season, the company has shifted its focus from its well-known lightweight summer fabrics, including linen and slub yarns, to an exclusively winter-weight collection. Designed for a versatile smart-casual wardrobe, the collection is intended to transition between formal business attire and relaxed weekend clothing while addressing the preferences of international markets.

Three Key Fabric Developments

The Autumn-Winter 2027/2028 collection is built around three primary developments:

Winter Warmth and Volume

The collection includes heritage qualities such as Cashmerello and Flanello, produced from 30/2 cashmere and Supima cotton blends. These fabrics are delicately brushed to provide warmth, while ALUMO's proprietary finishing process enhances fabric volume and body without altering its traditional handfeel.

Renovated Classics

ALUMO has updated its Supraluxe and Superior qualities, woven from 100/2 and 120/2 Supima cotton. The refreshed range introduces new colourways, contemporary stripe patterns, and expanded micro and macro-scale plain and check designs.

The Jacquard & Dobby Revival

The company has also reintroduced its Supraluxe Dobby and Supraluxe Jacquard qualities. Drawing from archival designs, fine yarns are woven into dense constructions using historical Jacquard looms, combining classic patterns with newly developed colour variations.

Focus on Premium Shirting

According to the company, the collection has been developed specifically for high-end shirtmakers, luxury Maisons, and bespoke tailors, with an emphasis on product-focused fabric development.
