Allient Inc. Joins FGCU to Promote Adaptive Sports Inclusion

Allient’s leadership joins FGCU and GBAS to promote inclusion through adaptive sports and recreation programs.
Allient Inc. (Nasdaq: ALNT), a global provider of specialized Motion, Controls, and Power solutions, announced that Steve Warzala, President of Allient Defense, Chief Growth Officer, and Corporate Vice President, will represent the company at Florida Gulf Coast University’s (FGCU) Golisano Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Initiative (GIDDI) seminar titled “Adaptive Sports and Recreation Activities: Lessons Learned.”
Scheduled for October 3, 2025, from 3:00–5:00 p.m. at Sugden Hall, Room 111, FGCU, Fort Myers, the event aims to advance inclusion in sports and recreation.
Hosted by GIDDI in partnership with Greater Buffalo Adaptive Sports (GBAS) — a nonprofit dedicated to creating adaptive sports opportunities for individuals with physical, developmental, and intellectual disabilities — the seminar will focus on how to establish and sustain successful adaptive sports programs. Participants will gain practical insights into program development, implementation, and long-term impact, particularly in empowering communities across Southwest Florida.
“Allient is proud to support GBAS and the work being done through GIDDI to expand opportunities for adaptive recreation,” said Steve Warzala. “Participating in programs like this reflects our commitment to strengthening communities and putting our values into action beyond our core Motion, Controls, and Power capabilities.”
