AEPC and NLDSL Sign MoU to Advance Digital Logistics Solutions for Apparel Exporters

Partnership focuses on logistics visibility, paperless trade processes and technology-led supply chain improvements
AEPC and NLDSL Formalise Logistics Partnership
The Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) and NICDC Logistics Data Services Limited (NLDSL) signed an MoU at Apparel House, Gurugram, to strengthen logistics operations and support digital transformation across the apparel export ecosystem.
The collaboration is intended to leverage NLDSL’s digital logistics capabilities and AEPC’s extensive engagement with apparel exporters to improve access to logistics information and facilitate greater use of digital tools within supply chains.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Mithileshwar Thakur, Secretary General, AEPC, said:
"Logistics has become a critical determinant of export competitiveness in the global marketplace. Indian exporters require greater transparency, efficiency and seamless access to logistics-related information to remain competitive. The Government's sustained efforts towards logistics modernization and infrastructure development have significantly improved logistics efficiency in the country. Through this partnership with NLDSL, we aim to create a more comprehensive and paperless logistics ecosystem that will enable exporters to track shipments more effectively, access logistics services with ease and make informed business decisions through a single-window digital platform."
Shri Thakur added that the initiative is expected to contribute to improved supply chain efficiency while supporting the apparel industry's export growth objectives.
Focus on Digital Platforms and Supply Chain Visibility
Shri Arvind Devaraj, Chief Operating Officer, NLDSL, highlighted the role of digital logistics platforms in supporting exporters and improving operational visibility across logistics networks.
He said:
"This collaboration will help bring together key stakeholders across the logistics ecosystem and support exporters through technology-enabled solutions. Platforms such as the Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP) and Logistics E-Marketplace (LeMP) are designed to improve visibility, predictability and reliability across logistics operations. Greater integration of logistics data and services will enable exporters to make better-informed decisions, reduce inefficiencies and facilitate smoother movement of goods across domestic and international supply chains."
Under the agreement, both organisations will work together to improve access to logistics-related information, enhance shipment tracking capabilities and support paperless trade processes.
Key Areas of Cooperation
The partnership will focus on several areas aimed at strengthening logistics efficiency and service accessibility for exporters, including:
- Improved access to logistics information
- Enhanced shipment visibility
- Support for paperless trade processes
- Competitive logistics pricing through digital bidding mechanisms
- Discovery of logistics and allied services
- Strengthening insurance-related provisions

The initiative is expected to help lower transaction costs, improve operational performance and support the global competitiveness of Indian apparel exports through a more transparent and technology-driven logistics ecosystem.
