According to the Office for National Statistics, the UK’s monthly production output decreased by 0.2% in November 2022 compared to October 2022. (ONS). The loss in two of the four production sectors—manufacturing fell by 0.5% month over month—was the primary cause of the decrease in production output in November 2022. (MOM).

According to ONS, manufacturing’s 13 subsectors experienced negative growth in 6 of them in November 2022. The manufacturing sector’s output was 2.5% below February 2020’s pre-coronavirus pandemic levels.

The manufacturing sector had a 1.2% reduction in the UK’s production output during the three months ending in November 2022 compared to the three months ending in August 2022.
