Andhra Pradesh to Host Global Investors Summit in March to Attract Industrial Investments

To entice industrial investments into the state of Andhra Pradesh, the government will host the Global Investors Summit-2023 in Visakhapatnam on March 3 and 4. The Summit will be held with the theme ‘Advantage Andhra,’ with the focus sectors like marine products, agro food processing, electric mobility, and defence being showcased, said State Minister for Industries, Investments, and Information Technology Gudivada Amarnath during a press conference held here on Tuesday.

“The last two years have been difficult for investments due of COVID-19, but now things are improving. The time is ripe for us to pursue investments, promote growth, and create jobs ” added Amarnath.

The state was currently building three ports in Bhavanapadu, Machilipatnam, and Ramayapatnam. Additionally, between Visakhapatnam and Kakinada, a significant petrochemical and petroleum investment sector was also being built.

“Three important industrial routes are also being developed around the state. These initiatives might all benefit from substantial investments. By making new investments and utilising that potential to propel industrial growth and generate thousands of employments, “said the minister.

Amarnath stated that in order to promote AP as an attractive investment destination, the government would also hold roadshows in various nations and important Indian cities.

At his camp office earlier, Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy unveiled the Summit logo. The state bird, a parrot, is shown munching on dollars in the emblem.

Senior authorities including Special Chief Secretary (Industries and Investments) Karikal Valaven were present.
