College of Home Science, Nirmala Niketan to Participate in HGH India 2022

The students of the College of Home Science Nirmala Niketan, Department of Textile & Fashion Technology are exhibiting and participating at the HGH India 2022, 12th Edition for Spring/Summer 2023 of India’s well established trade show for Home Textiles, Home Décor, and Housewares & Gifts. The Exhibition witnesses Indian and International exhibitors and trade buyers from over 560 cities & towns from all over India. Home industry and trade are once again looking forward to product and design innovations through HGH India and explore new business opportunities under the new market conditions.

HGH India not only presents the latest innovations by leading Indian and international brands, designers and manufacturers, but also has a high focus on forecasting of Fashion Trends for Homes for 2022-23.  The trade show has undertaken a thorough research engaging an international design team and will share these trends through a high quality Trend book and Trends Pavilion located in a prime location at HGH India 2022. This Trend Pavilion will not only feature the forecasted trend themes, but also showcase selected trend correct products from various exhibitors, so that Indian retailers can benefit from the entire exercise and can source trend correct products for their stores, keeping with reference to the forecasted trends.

The young minds are engaged in promotion in design trends and focus areas during the event from 13th December to 16th December 2022. 

The department is showcasing and presenting at a stall with their beautiful articles designed and created by the students based on the theme of Sustainability at this International Exhibition. 

This is a unique opportunity for the college students to be associated with this trend forecasting exercise for the Indian market, which is being put to commercial use by the trade industry and to present their innovative ideas in sustainable design development.
