COTTON FARMERS PLOUGH FAST IN THIS VILLAGE!

The farmers in Muktsar districtin Punjabare still ploughing their cotton crops, despite the adversities like rain and the whitefly attack, which has not subsided yet.

For example, there are some farmers in the Abulkhurana village, have ploughed over 40 acres of land in cotton in just two days. The villagers said that the leaves were turning black and that the plants were not attaining the required height as well.

According to a report from the village,it was found that around 60 acres of cotton crop have already been ploughed in their village.

An agricultural officer said that the whitefly was persistent on the cotton crop, while there were no signs of the pink bollworm. He further said that the attack of the whitefly was mainly due to the large area that was used for moong cultivation.
