Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited (ABFRL) would invest Rs. 110 crore in an apparel factory in Andhra Pradesh.
This upcoming unit at Pulivendula in Kadapa district will produce mainly trousers and is expected to create jobs for more than 2,100 people.
With a network of more than 3,031 stores, ABFRL is present across approximately 25,000 multi-brand outlets with 6,500 points of sales in department stores across India.
In a meeting chaired by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) gave clearance to this project along with a few others.
The SIPB also gave a green signal for a manufacturing industrial chemicals factory in East Godavari district. The Grasim Industries has proposed to set up a unit with an investment of Rs. 861 crore. It would create jobs for 405 people.
The Chief Minister asked the officials to take appropriate measures in the allotment of land to the proposed industries, duly considering their expansion plans in future. He asked the authorities concerned to ensure that there were adequate resources available for future expansions.
