Recently, NIFT has been able to successfully commercialise one of its Intellectual Property, which is in Patenting Process. To celebrate this achievement, this event holistically gives an opportunity to the Academic Fraternity to understand the importance of Patent Commercialisation, get an insight into the start-up funding and at the same time gives an insight to the Garment Manufacturing Industry about the NIFT’s i-smart technology, which is world’s first patented sewing operator rating system that is operation neutral, 100% objective, SaaS based quantitative measure of generic sewing skill.
This event shall focus on the innovation & importance of Commercialisation of Patent and gives an opportunity to know the perspective of Industry and the inventors of the said Patent, “EVALUATING SEWING SKILL OF AN OPERATOR OF A SEWING MACHINE”. Sewing operator constitutes nearly 85% of the total workforce and the i-SMART solution addresses the long pending problem of digitalising worker’s skill and removing bias.
