Andhra Pradesh state recently announced its Export Action Plan-2021, paving the way for export-led industrialisation. State chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy released the plan for the state and districts during the Vanijya Utsav-2021 in Vijayawada. The state is crafting a 10-year action plan with pit-stops every 2-3 years to monitor progress and re-align strategies.
The action plan focuses on cotton in Kurnool, cotton yarn in Guntur, coir pith and fibre in in East Godavari, and readymade garments and silk sarees in Anantapur.
The individual district plans should bring a sense of collaborative competition among the stakeholders and promote the district as an export hub, the chief minister said, hoping that the action plan would serve as a ready trade guide.
He said the action plan offers the right direction to the trading and export community to help the state achieve the vision of doubling exports by 2030, according to media reports from the state.
