Cotton trading activity remained low, according to the weekly cotton review

KARACHI: Trade activity in the local cotton market lasted just three days following the lengthy Eidul Azha vacations, with Friday being the third Eid day and people engaged with greetings gatherings, while Saturday trading volume remained low.
Today will see the return of normal market activity (Monday) Cotton is required by textile and spinning mills, therefore business volume is projected to rise. The trading volume is related to the demand for putti in Punjab. Experts anticipate that demand for textile items would grow in the coming days as the new wave of Covid-19 gains traction.
Cotton prices in Sindh and Balochistan range between Rs 12,400 and Rs 12,900 per maund. Phutti costs between Rs 4500 and Rs 5300 every 40 kilogramme. As the import of textile machinery increases, the textile business in Pakistan has bright prospects. According to estimates, 20 million additional spindles would be placed in Pakistan during the next few years.
