Textile Ministry is in the process of getting Cabinet approval for the MITRA programme

The textile Ministry is in the process of gaining Union Cabinet clearance for the planned Mega Investment Textile Parks (MITRA) programme, under which seven such parks would be established around the nation over the next three years, Parliament was informed on Friday.
Darshana Jardosh, Minister of Textiles, stated that the plan was introduced in the Union Budget 2021-22. She stated that the site, government financing structure, and methods will be determined. CCI purchased 105.15 lakh bales of cotton during the 2019-20 cotton season, setting a new record (equivalent to around 546.80 lakh quintal kapas)
