In the aftermath of the gas crisis, form a committee to do due diligence.
As a result of the gas load-shedding, textile exporters have threatened to relocate their operations to other nations.
According to Pakistan Apparel Forum (PAF) Chairman Jawed Bilwani, textile exporters have created a committee to do due diligence on shifting businesses in the aftermath of gas crises and an unviable business climate. Since the previous 15 days (June 11-2021), there has been no gas pressure, crippling industries and halting export output. Pakistan’s textile industry is one of its most important export sectors.
Non-export industries play an important role in the production of value-added products for export industries, as well as items to fulfil local demand. Faisal Moiz Khan, President of the North Karachi Association of Trade and Industry (NKATI), has requested Prime Minister Imran Khan to restore Karachi’s industries and rescue them from destruction so that manufacturing activities may continue as normal.
