Flipkart recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Tamil Nadu micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) trade and investment promotion bureau (MTIPB) to bring local artisans, weavers, craftsmen and small and medium businesses (SMBs) of the state into the e-commerce fold.
The MoU to onboard the state’s artisans and entities on the company’s flagship initiative Flipkart Samarth was signed in the presence of state minister of rural industries P Benjamin.

Collaboration with the MTIPB, Government of Tamil Nadu is yet another step towards this effort,” Rajneesh Kumar, chief corporate affairs officer of the group, said in a statement.
